Domain Name Cloaking

URL forwarding is redirecting a domain name to another site. If you have a site xyz.com and register a name xyz.net or zzz.com you can redirect those names to xyz.com. You can have one web site and register several names and redirect them to one site. If you have a free site with a "their name/your name.com" you can redirect your new registered name to that site.

Website Cloaking is essentially lying to get a better ranking with search engines. By cloaking your Web site you are deceiving the search engine providers and thus anyone who comes to your site from those search engines.
Cloaking is also frowned upon by most search engines. Google and other highly ranked search engines will remove your site from their listings completely.

URL Forwarding

URL Forwarding (also called URL redirection) is when the user types in one address (URL) for a web site and is then redirected to a site, often on a different server than the domain. Often the URL name entered will be short, easy to remember URL while the destination page is actually defined by a much longer, harder to remember URL. It occurs when a Web server tells the client browser to obtain a certain requested page from a different location.
